Friday, January 8, 2010

Well hello, people! It's once again the beginning of a new year! (and hopefully new resolutions too?) anyways it is also a few people's birthday! First up;

this cute girl has already turned 15 on the 4th of January.
She's staring off into nothingness, thinking of PMR, no? ;)

on the 6th Jan, this lady has already turned 20-smth! (anyone care to tell her exact age? :P)
See, only people like her do those hand-nonsense-action things! Guilty as charged, you LALA wannabe! ;D

This dude is turning 51284632 years old (17) on the 12th of January.
Heehee, i just love candid pictures. Reminds you of baywatch, no? ..Maybe not as sexy eh ;)

And just days away, this prettay laydeh is turning shweet 16 on the 19th! What a close gap!
See, how bright her smile is ;D

Good luck, God bless and take care to those victims who've been chosen for NS and are already at the camp. Some may take it as a privilige or as an opportunity to gain valuable experience, so have all the fun in the world there! May you come back darker than before you left ;D

xx.

DECEMBER DOODIES!

"Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to both of you,
You're finally seventeen!"

You're not getting older, you're just a little closer to death.

O.O

Like wow right, what a way to think of birthdays! Haha, dont be offended please (: You both should know how special you are as an individual and a blessing because there's only one like you, and no other. Have a blast!

The leader

You know those situations when you're stuck and don't know what's going to happen because it might end terribly or in a way you don't want it to, you're afraid to take that risk. Everyone's like that. But God wants us to know that He will see us through our problems. We always rely on ourselves or on other people. People will fail you but He would never. It's easier said than done but i believe it's a journey that we must take.
He's our light in the dark and onto our path.

Follow Me;

written by Debbie

And He said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men." Immediately they left their nets and followed Him. Matthew 4:19-20

"Follow me!" Those words were spoken to our grandson by his other grandma last week, and that's exactly what he did! He has been walking for several months while holding on for balance; on that day, she placed him on his feet and he followed her down the hall all by himself. We have shouted, "Glory Hallelujah!!" that our little 1 lb. 9oz. preemie has accomplished yet another milestone by God's grace.

I love the above verse, especially the word "immediately." It takes faith to follow immediately. JJ has faith that his grandma has a huge love for him, and that if he follows her good things are likely to happen. That is the kind of child-like faith I want to have. I want to always trust my Savior's huge love for me, and that as I follow Him good things are likely to happen. Good things like peace, joy, patience, kindness, etc.

It's true that JJ will take more than one stumble in this process of learning to walk. It is also true that you and I will continue to stumble in our walk with the Lord. And just like we will lovingly help our grandson back to his feet to continue his journey; Jesus repeatedly lifts us up and places us back on the path He has planned for us.

My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. John 10:27

.

.

May we quickly and willingly follow, Jesus, our Good Shepherd with child-like trust in His huge love.

God's Plan

Who Is Holding The Map?;
written by Carol.

But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul. Deut. 4:29 NIV

Have you ever wondered what God's plan is for you? Have you asked him? For the past couple of days the Lord has been speaking to my heart about the thing I am passionate about - finding God's plan for your life. Then I came across this verse in Deuteronomy this morning. It all came together.

So often we want to know what God has planned for us, and we pray and ask Him. But we forget to listen. We cry out, "Where are you God, and what is it that I'm supposed to be doing right now?" Then in our haste, we run out the door, on to our next activity. God was waiting with an answer, but we missed it.

Let's pretend for a moment. You decide you want to go on a trip with a good friend. You tell them to plan the trip down to the last detail, and you will drive. You are excited about where your friend will take you. You don't know what exciting stops there will be on the way, but you know it will be great. Your friend always plans the best trips!

You are ready to go and you get in the car. You crank the car and begin to drive. You ask your friend, who is with you, which way to go, but proceed to keep on talking and just turn the way you guess is right. You chat on about how great the trip in going to be, all the while never asking where you are going or which way to go. After a while, you realize that you have no clue where you are or how you got there. And you become angry. You shout at your friend, questioning why they didn't show you the right way.

Don't we do this to the Lord sometimes? We try so hard to make it on our own that we get lost. Then we cry out to our Father to show us the way back to the path. If we had only taken the time to listen to Him speak. If only we had put ourselves in His Word more often. His words were right there to guide us.

If we truly seek the Lord with all our heart and soul in looking for our path, we will find Him. Join me in searching for Him today.

Lord, help me to realize that your Word is a way for you to speak to me. When I ask and wait for an answer, your answers were written out for me long before I asked the question. Oh Father, thank you for taking one so unworthy as me and loving me anyway.
